Questions and Shadows
There's an inner struggle,
a fight
What to believe?
My heart says it's red,
but my mind says it's green
Meanwhile this over used,
beaten up soul
wanders through darkness
Seeking an end to this ever long night
In my hand
I hold
a seed, a ray of light
it blooms, and so comes forth new life
Who would've thought
that a shadow wandering aimlessly in the night
Would carry a gift so precious as hope
Who Am I
Who am I
the question echoes through
hitting like bolts of lightening in the midnight skies
Why can't they see the beauty that flows through me?
the heart permanently cries
labored sighs
In my hand
I hold
a seed, a ray of light
it blooms, and so comes forth new life
Who would've thought
that a shadow wandering aimlessly in the night
Would carry a gift so precious as hope
and in this heart a promise,
Eternal light
A shadow wandering through the lands
with nothing but the hope in his hand
This seed of hope,
it spreads into faith
and like an intricate vine
covers the pestilence
with each little green leaf
In my hand
I hold
a seed, a ray of light
it blooms, and so comes forth new life
Who would've thought
that a shadow wandering aimlessly in the night
Would carry a gift so precious as hope
Seed planted
firmly folded into the earth
of each of your souls
Let the water fertilize
and no longer shall you ask
Who am I?
Take a step back and look at the harvest at hand
