Faith
Faith is born of broken dreams,
Broken hearts,
Ripped at their seams
Faith stems from wrinkled hands,
Scabbed and bruised
From tending the land
Weeding fertile grounds and making room,
Faith’s planted fruits
Faith is borne in a single word,
It’s borne in a yes
Proclaimed in Surrender
Bearing the weight of our crosses
In enlightened expectation
Two eyes tired of crying
Yet joy still shines
Despite trials
Despite pain
Faith sometimes has tried to hide
To escape me ,
From time to time
Just as I’m about to give up
Faith’s song pours into hearts
Lifting us up
in it’s chorus of celestial rhymes
Broken hearts,
Ripped at their seams
Faith stems from wrinkled hands,
Scabbed and bruised
From tending the land
Weeding fertile grounds and making room,
Faith’s planted fruits
Faith is borne in a single word,
It’s borne in a yes
Proclaimed in Surrender
Bearing the weight of our crosses
In enlightened expectation
Two eyes tired of crying
Yet joy still shines
Despite trials
Despite pain
Faith sometimes has tried to hide
To escape me ,
From time to time
Just as I’m about to give up
Faith’s song pours into hearts
Lifting us up
in it’s chorus of celestial rhymes
