Life is beautiful
Life is bleak
Life is a journey,
We aren’t meant to keep
Life is hope
It’s moving on,
Though we don’t know how
It’s an enchanting tune heard through
Forests of doubt
It’s words scattered along a path
A heart dying to love
It’s those nails on a tree
It’s allowing me to show you
Who you really are
Because what you and I see,
Are two worlds apart
From who we really are
Life is unpredictable
Dreams inevitable
Though not always perceivable
Hardly attainable
We are all vessels
Meant to carry our light
Shining through each of the cracks
Left by the scars of life
Made by our imperfections
Perfected by your mighty hand
Life is golden field
Filled with wildflowers
All in bloom
And like a monet painting
They add color to our palette less life
They’re the sweet scented perfume

Someday
Beneath tones of blues hanging over us
In the sky
Calm and serene like waters hitting the sand
On the ocean’s first tide
I want to say all I feel inside
Without precaution or evasion
Just smile and hold me tight
Someday I want the sun to set
Over the mountains and hills
the day will be gone
so fast,
but I’ll be all right
because I won’t be alone
with you at my side
but for a few more nights…

… here I sit, awaiting the perfect time

Life is beautiful
Life is bleak
Life is a journey,
We aren’t meant to keep
Life is hope
It’s moving on,
Though we don’t know how
It’s an enchanting tune heard through
Forests of doubt
It’s words scattered along a path
A heart dying to love
It’s those nails on a tree
It’s allowing me to show you
Who you really are
Because what you and I see,
Are two worlds apart
From who we really are

Meant to carry our light
Shining through each of the cracks
Left by the scars of life
Made by our imperfections
