Suffocated
by the unknown
the story yet to be told
that piece of history waiting to unfold
It sits on my chest
like a five hundred pound
bag of stones
Gasping for air,
Alone
To be continued...

They say Lonliness is a state of mind
it's in our power to hold on or let go
But how can you let go to something you've never had?
And what do you do when the sand is racing through the glass
the road that diverged,
is pointing toward wetlands,
what used to be a path
has taken you right back where you began

Suffocated
by the unknown
the story yet to be told
that piece of history waiting to unfold
It sits on my chest
like a five hundred pound
bag of stones
Gasping for air,
Alone
To be continued...

You said,
Do you know how it feels to be the only prince without  a sword
no shield to mask myself
not even a stone to throw
Suffocated
by the unknown
my story,
yet to be told
I'm gasping for air
alone

Despair has dragged me here
Each improvement becomes another fear
another insecurity
haunted by bad memories

I've forgotten what life is when it's not hurting
When the sun is out,
I hide away
Trying to escape it's burning rays

...oh but child
there is yet hope beyond your despair
there is something much bigger than the story you know
there's a depth to the silence
a beauty in weeping
there's acceptance and compassion
Loving and believing
there is another chance,
