Faith

Faith is born of broken dreams, Broken hearts, Ripped at their seams Faith stems from wrinkled hands, Scabbed and bruised From tending the land Weeding fertile grounds and making room, Faith’s planted fruits Faith is borne in a single word, It’s borne in a yes Proclaimed in Surrender Bearing the weight of our crosses In enlightened expectation Two eyes tired of crying Yet joy still shines Despite trials Despite pain Faith sometimes has tried to hide To escape me , From time to time Just as I’m about to give up Faith’s song pours into hearts Lifting us up in it’s chorus of celestial rhymes
And though words won’t ever suffice To communicate,  Clarify,  The peace I feel in giving you  This wrangled, broken heart of mine I shall do my best to show you What those scattered, simple note’s Song sounds like Yes, you’re the Beauty that keeps me reaching  The smile beneath my tears The hidden road pointed out to me after all these years; Your imperfections only add  To the light reflecting from your smile Your flaws -the cracks through which His Love shines  You’re the hallelujah  In my song’s reprise
