Turn the Page

By: W.A Life flashes before our eyes We can only live one minute at a time Unpaved paths Tend to leave us stumbling in the past Now turn the page Let go The world won’t wait Chorus: Turn the page Yesterday is yesterday struggle and battle the challenges of today Live like each breath is your last Enjoying all you can NOW Stop living in regret Quit walking in doubt Turn the page Start living for today We overlook the ordinary Always looking for the buried fool’s gold Searching for extravagence When the real treasure’s beneath our nose (Chorus ) Bridge: Life's too complex to fully understand Especially when We’re only promised the moment at hand

Love Breathes

Image
By: Wilbanice Ayala 2016 Love breathes on a tiny seedling Little by little it starts growing Planted in the fertile soils of wisdom near the bank where living waters flowing trickle down onto each small leaf Life created Love breathes Every leaf a chapter of your life Your roots embedded down deep Your design, still a mystery Roots embedded deep Into the soils of mother nature Into this earth   Love breathes

This is awesome

Tears

Image
Frozen by the darkness encircling Is it the fear Or is it the grieving Is it the waiting Or the leaving? Tears cover my pillow tonight Like tiny pearls They hold no price For tears shed over love’s sacrifice Tears of uncertainty Flood the valley of the lonely Tears of longing Storm the peace Tears of sadness The hole expanded With every tear this pillow collects Each drop that falls, another word calls For I shall write until the last tear drop’s heard These tears, messengers sent from the heart Falling from thine eyes, yet upon your cheeks they lye Fertilizing gardens of Hopes Where prayers planted align Tears of uncertainty Flood the valley of the lonely Tears of longing Storm the peace Tears of sadness The hole expanded With every tear this pillow collects Each drop that falls, another word calls Drawing desires to the banks of tears weeped At the dock where dreams and faith take sail Floods of tears direct a heart, Short of breath, tears blind...
Sometimes dense shadows  Dim out the light Catch ourselves staring at the sun too long  It messes with our sight  Vision blurred  Everything seems obscure Walking through life blinded But I will keep walking ... On towards the light  I will follow the sunrise With nothing but the wind on my back  And dog at my side  Life keeps moving  Whether you want it to or not  Everything you think you are Crumbles right in front of you Because you are who you are  All you can give is a rusty, bruised, heart Til you see it isn't good enough  Til you hear The voice inside you saying, "Just give up..." The past beats on you, hard as the late August sun Tired and conquered  By a hopeless hope That someone would somehow see past the dirt,  past the countless scars Past these tears that keep surfacing  To see the real me But I will keep walking ... On towards th...
What is hope if it isn’t creating change What’s a fire if it doesn’t start with a flame What’s a tear if it doesn’t cleanse your soul ? Just another emotion, Another pointless story told What’s a hand, if you’re not reaching out? What’s rain if it keeps you inside without Ever running through it If we’re never soaked Baptized by teardrops Water for our thirsting souls We were given these hands To uphold the weary When they no longer can stand on their own Showers wash away our stains Bringing Rainbows of hope What’s a storm if thunder isn’t preceded by lightening? Would it still amaze you, If it weren’t  a little frightening? What’s a sunset with no color and light? What’s life without love? What’s love without life ? It’s loving til it hurts it’s forgiveness and mercy it’s saying that one word Not only with your lips, But with actions It is  knowing your dignity And living it out Love is a verb it’s getting up, no matter how many times you...

The Lion’s Den

Clouds align the sunset tonight  The usual lively orange tones  Are an empty, lifeless grey Reality suddenly loses balance Once you’ve felt the weight of evil’s hand  fall upon your bones Witnessed your worst fear’s force  Descend upon you The gravity of Calvary vividly unfolding  We’ve been sleeping in the lions den and are just noticing  Saturated glimpses of the past flash before eyes Hallowed snippets of life affixed  To bold those red words,  Over and over,  I’d read Promises Plastered throughout halls and walls Scarlet red promises Nailed to a cross The gravity of Calvary  Unmistakably unfolding We’ve been sleeping in the lions den and we’re just now, noticing  Wounded pride, fainted greed, money, false acceptance, vanity We know not the significance Yet words, vices, ceaselessly tossed around  Flying swords,  And we’re breaking down  Yes, we’re breaking...
