A Rose

A Rose awaiting her summer rain Withered and dried  The brittle stem leans Waiting...  one by one  Petals fall Dark clouds hanging over  The rose stands tall There is beauty in the patience  Grace in the rain  She waits... As seasons pass  The daisies fade away Tulips close  Branches grow barren in the frigid cold The rose waits  Leaves blow Pansies breathlessly wane The rose waits Tears of rain pour down her stem  Browning leaves start to fall Pale and tired The rose stands tall Anxiety creeping upon her She doesn’t move an inch.  Ladybugs on a vine The rose waits Virtue slowly begins blossoming  Pale, tired, and anxious,  Dulled and diminished By autumns and winters She stands tall Trembling from the chill of Icicles dangling off her leaves She continues to wither, The rose believes  There’s Hope She holds onto  With the moonl...
